Leverage your z/OS Investment Cloud 9 allows organizations to use their z/OS as a central repository. Cloud 9's long-name support capabilities facilitate the storage of multi-platform development artifacts on the z/OS, and provides developers with browser access to the data. No Client Side Software for Cloud 9 Cloud 9 is an entirely host-based application, enabled to the z/OS via IBM's HTTP server. Therefore, there is no client side software for administrators to install or maintain. Change Broker Enabled The Change Broker Utilities have been included as part of the core Cloud 9 product to provide mass/batch loading of distributed objects directly from existing directories and extraction from the Invisible to Distributed Developers This solution has zero impact on distributed development. Once developers have completed their testing and are ready to hand off their changes, Change Broker performs a script driven extraction from their distributed SCM tool and then loads the objects onto the host. Interfaces with CVS, Rational, PVCS, and SSV Source tools Cloud 9 now interfaces with the standard distributed source management tools through industry standard scripting languages. This allows the Cloud 9 and the Change Broker Utilities to pull labeled/tagged source from the distributed world, without interrupting the current practices of the development staff. Remote Production Control Cloud 9's browser-based workbench provides a user friendly interface for production turnover and package creation. |
